Oh hey there! It’s been a while I know. I had a baby, then the holidays hit, and now the fog of sleepless nights and too much turkey and pie has finally lifted. Just in time to share what was the last shoot I did before pressing pause for a bit and taking maternity leave.
This shoot was completely outside my comfort zone. I have not taken any interior design photos in years, probably since photography school in 2010! But when Alicia of ABW Designs asked if I would be interested in helping her out on a few projects, I jumped at the chance. I love challenging myself to photograph something new. I’m so used to photographing people and couples that a static subject is almost more difficult. Tripods, multiple exposures, panoramas…it got my creative brain working in ways it hasn’t in a long time.
Alicia is an interior designer in Ottawa who has designed some pretty incredible kitchens, I must say. Check out some of her work here!
That mix of sage green and gold is to die for.
Alicia also wanted to showcase this beautiful open concept bookshelf that separates the dining room and kitchen with this little office nook. Love it!
